Welcome to Temasek Laboratories at Nanyang Technological University (TL@NTU).
TL@NTU was established on 25 March 2003 to explore the frontiers in science and develop strategic technology that will deliver effective solutions to enhance the defence and security of Singapore. Together with our sister Temasek Laboratories @NUS and @SUTD, we are part of the defence technology community in Singapore, comprising DSO National Laboratories, Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and the local defence industry.
At TL@NTU, we have established three key research areas: Centre of Microsystem Technology, Centre of Hardware Assurance and Centre of Communication & Signal Processing. Besides these three Centres, we also have various research groups focusing R&D on Protective & Advanced Materials, Laser and Speech Technology. Our mission is to undertake cutting-edge research in these areas and explore novel solutions that may be transited to our collaborators for further downstream development.
As part of our R&D strategy, we collaborate extensively both locally and internationally, working on multi-disciplinary projects. We have faculty Principal Investigators
(PIs) from the College of Engineering, College of Science and College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences leading various research projects with our TL@NTU PIs. We also actively engage in international collaboration on selected research topics. Some of our past and present collaborators include Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Army Research Lab (USA), ONERA (France), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), TU Darmstadt (Germany), and Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan).
We invite you to visit our website to find out more about our research and explore opportunities to join us as an intern, visiting graduate student/ scientist, or as a research staff. We also welcome new collaborators who have common research interest to contact us.
