Responsibilities
• |
To initiate, maintain, review and revise safety policies, guidelines and procedures |
• |
To determine, develop, promote, implement and maintain a robust safety management system for fire safety, workplace safety and laboratory safety |
• |
To lead and/or represent Temasek Laboratories in safety related working committees, and spearhead and provide direction in continuous safety improvement projects |
• |
To proactively identify potential areas of vulnerability and risk, develop a robust framework for risk management, and provide general guidance to prevent or handle similar situations in future |
• |
Develop, carry out audits and maintain asset and inventories and maintain accurate records in relevant databases |
• |
Optimize internal efficiencies and support proactive asset management |
• |
Plan and control activities pertaining to the effective maintenance and management of assigned buildings/facilities/properties |
• |
Able to plan the maintenance works for critical M&E and specialist systems such as ACMV, IBMS, security systems, passenger lifts, etc. |
• |
Able to supervise the work of technical staff and contractors, and ensure that the work carried out compiles strictly with health and safety regulations |
• |
Ensure compliance with all building and statutory regulations |
Requirements
• |
Recognised Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Building or Facilities Management or equivalent |
• |
Preferably a registered MOM Workplace Safety and Health Officer and / or SCDF Fire Safety Manager and / or BCA Ride Manager |
• |
Experience in a project management capacity with strong leadership and project management skills |
• |
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experiences in safety and facilities management is preferred |
• |
Good knowledge of safety management systems with risk management and investigation skills |

Monitoring & tabulating incoming overheads to ensure collections received & distribution to other schools are in order. |
• |
Monitoring funding for equipment ensuring purchases are within budget and are listed in the proposal. |

Liaising with various stakeholder on WBS account |
• |
Creating management reports and inform budget utilisation rate & cash flow for projects. |
• |
Submission of yearly/final audit reports to funding agencies. |
• |
Supporting administration pertaining to the procurement of goods and services |

Requirements

Bachelor Degree from Recognized University |
• |
Administrative management experience with good working knowledge in procurement and finance |

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experiences is preferred |

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel et.) and finance management systems, ideally Gebiz, SAP and P2P etc.; |
• |

Strong background in semiconductor materials and device physics is preferred |

Good hands-on experience working on instrumentation |

Programming experience is preferred |

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision |

Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation skills |

Possess skills in design of experiments for quick trouble shooting |
